I had booked a Ford Eco Sport 1.5 Titanium (D) Plus model, which was launched on 26 June 2013. The car was purchased from an authorized dealer of Ford Motors. Even after full payment for the vehicle, the dealer was constantly extending the committed delivery date – from the end of August 2013, it was postponed to third week of September. Till date there has been no delivery of the said vehicle. I have been constantly calling up the dealer for delivery status of vehicle but there is no satisfactory response from their side. Hence, I request the higher authorities of Ford Motors to take up this matter on an urgent basis. Else I will have to go to consumer court against this. Kamlesh Chavan We have written to the company stating that the dealer has been holding the full amount and not yet delivered the vehicle to the customer. This amounts to unfair trade practice. The customer will be entitled to claim interest on the deposit @ 18 per cent. In case the dealer has delivered the vehicle to some other customer who had booked later than the aggrieved person, there will be grounds to take action. The company should ascertain the actual position and direct the dealer to deliver the vehicle soon.
