CONSUMER COMPLAINT

-

In May 2014, I bought a window AC of Voltas from Tushar Vision, New Delhi. Right from the day of purchase, the AC has been shutting down on its own and takes an hour to restart. I made several complaints but the problem continues. I took up the matter with the area service manager and requested him to replace the faulty unit. The manager refused saying that their company did not have any such policy. He said they could repair but could not replace it. He asked me to allow the company to take the unit to their workshop for complete analysis. I agreed to that and requested for a standby unit. They, however, refused to provide with any standby unit. With two small children at home, one can imagine the summer nightmares that the family must have gone through because of a faulty air conditioner. We invested our hard-earned money for some simple comfort but ended up with anxiety and mental harassment from Voltas.
