I had ordered two combos (one combo has three bottles) of deodorants through an online retailer. Firstly, I received the order eight days after the committed date of delivery. Secondly, after opening the pack, I realized that the box had only one combo while the invoice pasted on it clearly said that I paid Rs 430 for two combos. I am a regular online shopper and have shopped from various websites, but have not been cheated like this ever before. After waiting for over a week after the expected delivery date, I get only half of what I had ordered. Will the company refund my money or is there any way of seeking compensation from the retailer? In case they do not, please approach us for further guidance. I have been a Mother Dairy consumer for about two decades. Now it looks like I, along with other people in my area, will have to switch to other brands/sources as Mother Dairy retailers in Abul Fazal Enclave, Jamia Nagar, New Delhi, are selling toned milk at a premium of Rs 2 per litre. The shopkeepers are charging Rs 40 per litre instead of Rs 38, which is the maximum retail price (MRP) printed on the packet of toned milk. I believe it is illegal to sell anything beyond the printed MRP. Please guide us on what action we may take. Also, you may immediately bring this to the notice of Controller of Legal Metrology (Weights & Measures) as selling on rates higher than the printed MRP is an offence and the controller will take necessary action against those found guilty.
