F for Freedom
To be, to be anywhere, to be without fear
My image of freedom is drawn from an old print ad in the Reader’s Digest – it promises that use of the product gives freedom to girls forever. While the product did not deliver on that promise, the image continues to pop up every time I hear the word ‘freedom’. What does freedom mean in the context of travel? Anything and many things, actually. Freedom of movement, of course. Freedom of access for all—right to the last person. Freedom in spite of limitations, physical or mental. Freedom to believe that one is safe. And so on.
