Our ca­ble op­er­a­tor charges Rs 250 per month per set-top box but does not is­sue any re­ceipt. He did not give us the re­ceipt of Rs 1,000 that he charged us for the in­stal­la­tion of the set-top box. Also, the op­er­a­tor does not pro­vide chan­nels of our choice and threat­ens to dis­con­nect the ser­vice when con­fronted. The re­cep­tion and ir­reg­u­lar ser­vice is another prob­lem. Ankit Jain This is a case of ram­pant mal­prac­tice by the ca­ble op­er­a­tor. TRAI has is­sued in­struc­tions but op­er­a­tors are not fol­low­ing them. Hence, the au­thor­ity may con­sider some con­sumer-friendly ac­tion in this re­gard. We shall for­mally ap­peal to them.
