Till the time of going to press, none of the five failed brands had answered our queries. Lipstick: There was very little information on the cheap brands, and some companies could not be contacted. The expensive brands did not contain heavy metals. Kajal: Most of the cheaper brands did not respond. L’Oreal and Maybelline said that they had been given exemption because of the small size of the packs.
