As a matter of policy, before publication the test results for the brands are shared with their respective manufacturers/marketers inviting their views/comments. We reproduce here the reactions: Manufacturer (Brand Name) Havells Manufacturer’s Comment Air delivery of Havells ES 50 fan is 211 m3/min, whereas it is 202 m3/min in the report. The air delivery as per is 202.13 m3/min as against the 215 to 220 m3/min measured by us in our test lab. This may have happened due to ‘deformation’ of blade profile/ angles during handling/transit of fan. To rectify this defect in blade, we request you to allow us to reset the blades at your premises, after which you may carry out rechecking of air delivery. Air delivery (m3/min) is mentioned as 205. However, air delivery of 215 m3/min, with an accuracy of +/- 2%, has been observed in the Corona VX model under standard test conditions. Air delivery observed in the test is 204.52 m3/min. As per our records, the airdelivery observation is in the range of 211–216 m3/min. VOICE Society’s Reply Re-test was done on ceiling fan. There is no difference obtained on air delivery value from the earlier test. The test results were sent on 25 April by email as well as speed post, requesting your comments within the specified time (10 days). However, we received your comments on 18 May. It was verified that there was no deformation of blade profile/ angle/sweep (running).
