Global Road Safety Week
The Fourth UN Global Road Safety Week was organised from 8 May to 14 May 2017. The focus was to increase understanding of the dangers of speed and generate action on measures to address this major risk aspect in relation to road traffic death and injury.
A #SlowDown campaign was launched and a number of activities were carried out globally during this week. Consumer VOICE utilised social media platforms to create awareness about speed and safety, and urged people to slow down on roads to save their own and others’ lives. The team also sensitised people on the roads and got them to pledge to reduce their vehicular speed.
