Heavy Metals

-

We tested the brands for any trace of lead and arsenic. Lead, a cumulative poison, enters the product either through the soil or during production. It accumulates in the body and causes irreversible damage to the brain, nerve cells, red blood cells and the kidneys. Ingestion of a large amount of arsenic can lead to gastrointestinal symptoms such as severe vomiting, high blood pressure, heart attack, etc. • Both lead and arsenic were below detection limits (0.4 mg/litre for lead and 0.02 mg/litre for arsenic). Another

heavy metal, chromium, was also below detection limit.
