You might think men would automatically zero in on these seemingly significant signs to figure out whether you’ll be a good mom. But honestly? They couldn’t care less.
Whether you have a pet that you adore.
Being able to take care of an animal and raising a kid are so vastly different in his mind that he doesn’t make any connection between the two.
Whether you coo at every baby you see.
To him, fawning over infants is pure show, not actionable proof of your mommy skills.
Whether you have pictures of your kid nieces and nephews up around your house.
Unless he knows them well, the implication of who’s in your photos won’t register with him.
Whether you loved babysitting your siblings as a teenager.
He’s changed a lot since high school too, so he’s not going to judge your
interests way back then.
Whether you like to nest ( decorating, cooking, etc.)
It’s important to him that you contribute to the family, but that doesn’t mean you have to care about new windows and make a pie. If you share financial responsibilities, that’s pitching in just the same way.
