ANSYS has signed an MoU with the IIT Delhi to set up a Centre for Promotion of Computatio­nal Fluid Dynamics. This MoU aims to promote education and research and to improve employabil­ity of engineerin­g students with specific focus on women PhD/Post-Doc candidates.

The MoU also seeks to improve the engineerin­g students’ (Masters/PhD) skills in the area of Computatio­nal Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and to provide them exposure through their participat­ion in national and internatio­nal conference­s and symposiums. The move will also promote industry interactio­n to make engineerin­g students (Masters/PhD) equipped with industry relevant know-how. Annual symposiums and workshops on use of CFD for innovation­s, performanc­e optimisati­on and troublesho­oting will also be conducted to achieve them. As a part of the MoU, IIT Delhi shall conduct continuous technology skill training in the area of CFD for students. The CoE shall be open to students from other institutio­ns as well. The Project shall start in 2019 and will continue until the end of academic year 2021-22.

THIS CENTRE WILL HELP TO PROVIDE THE EDUCATION IN THE AREA OF CFD, IN PARTICULAR TO THE WOMEN STUDENTS; TO IMPROVE THE SKILLS OF THE ENGINEERIN­G STUDENTS AND TO PROVIDE THEM A PLATFORM TO INTERACT WITH THE INDUSTRY PROFESSION­ALS — Professor V Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi THIS COLLABORAT­ION WILL IMPROVE THEIR EMPLOYABIL­ITY AND EQUIP THEM WITH INDUSTRY RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN CFD THAT CAN RESULT IN MORE ENVIRONMEN­T FRIENDLY SOLUTIONS FOR THE FUTURE — Rafiq Somani, Area VP, India & South Asia, ANSYS
