ANSYS-IIT DELHI TIE UP
ANSYS has signed an MoU with the IIT Delhi to set up a Centre for Promotion of Computational Fluid Dynamics. This MoU aims to promote education and research and to improve employability of engineering students with specific focus on women PhD/Post-Doc candidates.
The MoU also seeks to improve the engineering students’ (Masters/PhD) skills in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and to provide them exposure through their participation in national and international conferences and symposiums. The move will also promote industry interaction to make engineering students (Masters/PhD) equipped with industry relevant know-how. Annual symposiums and workshops on use of CFD for innovations, performance optimisation and troubleshooting will also be conducted to achieve them. As a part of the MoU, IIT Delhi shall conduct continuous technology skill training in the area of CFD for students. The CoE shall be open to students from other institutions as well. The Project shall start in 2019 and will continue until the end of academic year 2021-22.
THIS CENTRE WILL HELP TO PROVIDE THE EDUCATION IN THE AREA OF CFD, IN PARTICULAR TO THE WOMEN STUDENTS; TO IMPROVE THE SKILLS OF THE ENGINEERING STUDENTS AND TO PROVIDE THEM A PLATFORM TO INTERACT WITH THE INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS — Professor V Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT Delhi THIS COLLABORATION WILL IMPROVE THEIR EMPLOYABILITY AND EQUIP THEM WITH INDUSTRY RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS IN CFD THAT CAN RESULT IN MORE ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY SOLUTIONS FOR THE FUTURE — Rafiq Somani, Area VP, India & South Asia, ANSYS
