SAP India made an estimated annual revenue in the FY2019 of USD 500 Mn. The strong momentum in the core and cloud business continued to drive the revenue growth for SAP India in FY19. The rapidly expanding cloud business together with solid growth in support revenue continued to drive the share of more predictable revenue for the company.
SAP has been consistently meeting its outlook metrics ever since it laid out its 2020 ambitions in early 2015. Four years ago SAP said that the cloud revenue would supersede its license revenue in 2018 and with a fast adoption of its cloud solutions, it became a reality pretty fast.
With an annual global revenue of €24.74 billion, the company had a record run in 2018. For the full year 2018, cloud and software revenue grew by 10 percent. Cloud subscriptions and support revenue was €5.03 billion. The total of cloud subscriptions and support revenue and software support revenue was 48 percent.

The core business remained strong with S/4HANA adoption up to 11,500 customers globally. SAP made its S/4HANA Cloud available in India this year. SAP S/4HANA Cloud is an Intelligent ERP with built-in machine learning and AI. With conversational AI platforms being the next big paradigm shift in IT, SAP integrated SAP CoPilot with the SAP S/4HANA Cloud. The voiceactivated digital assistant for enterprises enables users to to get their work done more quickly and efficiently.
The technology assets such as SAP HANA in the cloud, SAP cloud platform, SAP Leonardo, and SAP analytics cloud have seen the strongest pipeline. Solutions like Concur also continued to grow in double-digits on a global scale.
SAP witnessed immense confidence from the customers in terms of capabilities and that can be seen in several big-ticket customer wins and go lives in India this fiscal such as MG Motors, Pidilite Industries, DCM Shriram, Exide Industries, Larsen & Tubro Infotech, etc. HANA continues to be the big grosser for SAP. The new focus on cloud will help it stay afloat in the future as well.
