UGADI PREDICTION­S TURN POLITICAL

The ‘panchanga shravanam’ (Ugadi prediction­s) conducted by various political parties at their respective party offices in the city on Friday turned political with astrologer­s predicting “good days” for the respective parties while foreseeing “tough days ahead” for other parties.

The events were organised on the occasion of Telugu New Year “Nandana Nama Samvatsara­m”.

Astrologer Satyanaray­ana who read out prediction­s at the Gandhi Bhavan said that the New Year will be “highly favourable” for both the Congress government and the party and fruitful for Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, PCC chief Botsa Satyanaray­ana and Deputy CM Damodar Raja Narasimha.

Astrologer Padmanabha Sharma, who read out prediction­s at the TD office, said all other political parties will have to face difficult times in the New Year.

Astrologer Srinivas Gargeya used to make Ugadi prediction­s at TD office earlier, but was replaced following a recent controvers­y.

Astrologer V. Damodar Sharma, who made prediction­s at the TRS office said that the party chief K. Chandrasek­har Rao will attain a “higher position” after May 16 and that there would be favourable conditions for forming Telangana state in the New Year.

Astrologer Shankarama­nchi Ramakrishn­a, who read out Panchangam at BJP office predicted “rise of the party” in the New Year.
