COCKTAIL OF COLOURS
Students make known their style statement for this monsoon
This monsoon, the students are setting the style bar pretty high with a dash of colours with a casual approach. Cool and casual, yet at the same time stylish, is the look for the season. Casual tees, pullovers and flipflops are in.
For Siddanti Bodhu, a first-year mass communication student from St. Francis, this season is all about contrasting colours. “My favourite colour is black and I team it up with anything that adds a dash of colour. Go for all the colours in your wardrobe,” said Siddanti.
Himani Singh, a mass communication student from Villa Marie College, speaks highly of the casual look. “The casual look is very comfy and trendy at the same time. I add the oomph factor with the perfect hairstyle,” said Himani.
The celluloid inspiration this season is coming from Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer Cocktail. “In Cocktail, the characters are looking so lovely, colourful and real. I see people sporting red and green jeans with elan. That’s a good sign. We should feel comfortable. Give me a black top, a jeans paired with silver accessories and I am good to go anywhere,” said a confident Nargis Fatima, a second year B.Com (computer) student and a part of the Indian shooting team.
Boys are no different, and this time around it’s all pretty colourful for them too. Nauman Fazil, a second year engineering stu- dent of Mukhaffam Jah College, said, “This season is all about colours. Graphic print tees, a rugged jeans and a pair of stylish boots are all that you need to hit the party right after classes get over. I love Saif ’s look in Cocktail.” The right accessories are also important. For Siddanti a studded watch, a single chain and jhola bags are must haves. Nauman said, “Throw a jacket over a shirt or a tee and a silver bracelet and you can head anywhere.”
