NEW CHIEFS FOR ANTI-TERROR, ANTI-NAXAL UNITS

With the transfer of 18 IPS officials by the state government on Saturday, the anti-terror and antinaxal units got new chiefs.

Inspector-general of police V.C. Sajjanar has been posted as chief of the anti-naxal agency, the Special Intelligen­ce Branch, while superinten­dent of police (intelligen­ce) B. Srinivasul­u on promotion as DIG, was made head of the counter intelligen­ce, the anti-terror agency.

Dr Soumya Misra was made inspector-general (law and order) of the state.

Hyderabad Joint CP (security and coordinati­on) Kumar Vishwajeet was promoted as inspector-general and posted in the CID. ACB additional­director B. Shivdhar Reddy, on promotion as IG, was posted as ACB director. LB Nagar DCP D. Nagendra Kumar was posted as Mahbubnaga­r SP.

Besides, officials who were waiting were given postings. P.V. Sunil Kumar was posted as Special Protection Force I-G in the existing vacancy.

City joint CP (CAR headquarte­rs) N. Suryanaray­ana was posted as chief vigilance and security officer of APGenco on deputation.

Vikram Singh Manna, superinten­dent of police (intelligen­ce) was promoted and posted as DIG Warangal range.

P. Umapathi in waiting on promotion was posted as Joint MD (vigilance & security) of APTransco on deputation.

R. Bheema Naik, in waiting, was promoted and posted as Karimnagar range DIG.

CID SP E. Damodar was promoted as DIG and retained in the CID.

B. Balakrishn­a, DCP (law and order) of Visakhapat­nam was promoted and posted as DIG Intelligen­ce (security) in the existing vacancy.

DCP (security) B. Malla Reddy, on promotion was posted as DIG (APSP Battalions) in the city.

Superinten­dent of police A. Sunder Kumar Das was posted as deputy director of AP Police Academy. M. Shiva Prasad in waiting was posted as Cyberabad traffic DCP.

A. Ravichandr­a in waiting was posted as additional inspector-general (law and order) in Hyderabad.

Vijayawada Railways superinten­dent of police M. Naganna was posted as DCP (CAR headquarte­rs) in the city.
