CBI PREPARES LIST OF FIRMS INVOLVED IN COAL SCAM

The CBI, probing alleged irregularities in allotment of Coal blocks to both private players and public sector enterprises between 2006 and 2009, is now preparing a list of those companies and individuals who were not eligible for the allocation of coal block.

Sources said, agency will soon seek certain clarifications from the representatives of at least three companies, who were allocated coal blocks.

“Scrutiny of the documents, recently received from the coal and power ministry and department of industrial policy, has revealed that blocks were allocated to certain companies who were not eligible,” sources said.
