Dasari plays ‘party’ games

Rumours are doing the rounds in political circles that film director and politician Dasari Narayan Rao is likely to float a new party. His followers are spreading this bit of news stating that the Congress has lately been ignoring Dasari as it is busy keeping Chiranjeevi in good humour. They point out that the Congress did not benefit electorally even after Chiru merged his party with it as was evident in the recent bypolls where several Kapu/Balija leaders chose the YSR Congress over the Congress. Dasari, according to those close to him, is thoroughly disappointed with the way the Congress leadership has ignored him and will float a new party before the 2014 elections and cause further damage to the Congress. However, leaders say it is just another stunt by the veteran director and the rumours about a new party were only aimed at gaining some p r o minence within the

party.
