Son ‘stroke’ for Naidu

Telugu Desam supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu is in a foul mood not only because of his party’s noshow during the recent bypolls but because of his own party men losing confidence in his leadership as well. Immediately after the bypoll rout, TD’s youth wing sprang a surprise by demanding that no time should be wasted in declaring Lokesh as crown prince of the party. Naidu, however, dismissed their plea and reports also indicated that he chided the youth wing leaders for raising the issue. Sources said that though Naidu is not against dynasty politics, he felt that accepting the proposal at this juncture would be a direct reflection of his failure. He will, however, be happy to give in to their demands after bringing the party to power in 2014.
