Collector post as wedding gift

IAS official Dr Christina Z. Chongthu is the only one from her 2001 batch who still hasn’t been made collector so far. Her batchmates like Smita Sabharwal, Siddharth Jain and Neetu Kumari Prasad were already serving as collectors and in the latest reshuffle, her juniors Saurabh Gaur and Sudharshan Reddy, were given the coveted posts. Rumour has it that Dr Chongthu’s services will not be available for some time as she is getting married. “We will give her a wedding gift once she returns by appointing her as collector for the first time in her service,” said a senior officer.
