Variety is the spice of her life!

Sugandha Garg, who shot to fame with her role of a sprightly girl in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, continues to be on a roll. Her travel show is churning out great TRPs; her film Patang, which released in June, had a grand opening at the Berlin Fest — clearly there’s no stopping her.

Travel shows can be exhausting but nevertheless fun. On her experience with the show It Happens Only In India, Sugandha says, “I have been travelling for four months and it’s been very exhausting physically, but emotionally and mentally, it has been a great ride. I’ve got the opportunity to see things and places that I hadn’t thought I would get to see. India is a traveller’s paradise. There are so many places in India that we are still not aware of.”

Sugandha, through her many shows, has also evolved as a person. She says, “I met a girl Palak who at the age of six years sang for two days and raised `7.5 lakh for the Kargil soldiers. Another was Anandita Tamuli — I still wonder ‘how did she do it?’ Is she a superwoman? Such stories are inspiring and need to be told.”

Sugandha’s motto in life is to always try her hand at different things. She says, “I am the kind of person who cannot do the same thing over and over again. I am an instinctive person. I always want to do something offbeat.” Even though their fiveyear marriage has come to a shocking end, Katie Holmes did play the role of mother to Suri and wife to Tom Cruise with perfection. She was once quoted as saying, “I feel very lucky. I have a husband and baby that I adore. When I sit back and reflect, it’s, like, wow!”
