Take a skinny into a millionaire’s beauty regime as we let the cat out of the bag

- NAMITA GUPTA

You’ve always wondered how most socialites, actors and business head honchos manage to look dewy and fresh at all times. So, what does a millionaire lug around in a beauty tote that’s sometimes so big, that they appear to weigh them down. We peek into a millionaire’s make-up bag to find out what are their beauty indulgences and how you can get one too. An impeccably dressed Nidhi Dalmia Bagaria, a freelance fashion stylist and beauty expert from Bengaluru started her career with styling a television show called I’m too sexy for my shoes. Nidhi who styles shoots across the country gives a low-down on what most millionaires carry in their kits.

BARE BODY ESSENTIALS

Do not go with a ‘what-if ’ pack lugging it all, thinking you might end your day sipping champagne on a Also keep lip balms that plump your lips instantly handy. Carmex is very good for the lips, though you might need to pick that on your trips abroad. Look for lipsticks that aren’t too heavy. Bright colours are in vogue. Match your lip colour with colour blocking on your clothes too, which continues to be big this season too. Pinks and oranges are big in terms of hues, but pastels will slowly make their way in with pastel blocking, sometime soon.

KEEP HYDRATED

Carry an Evian water spray can to keep your skin hydrated all the time. This is a light water spray that can be sprayed even on top of your light make up. Most millionaires also go in for high end fragrance brands in mini versions for their carry bags. I like to carry a Thierry Mugler perfume.

SHINE ON

For a quick mane makeover the Kerastese Exilier seems to be the latest hairstyling jewel. Just dab on a drop on your palm and rub it on your hair for an instant shine. Run the brush once and you’re set to go.
