Una, Foden sing their way into new life
Saturdays’ singer Una Healy and Ben Foden sang to each other at their wedding in Tipperary, Ireland over the weekend. Una, 30 — in a lace-over-satin gown — joined the wedding band, The Mindbenders on stage and serenaded her England rugby ace with Sweet Home Alabama. But she was surprised when Ben, 24, sang Kings Of Leon’s Sex On Fire — backed by the rest of her band, The Sun reported. During the sit-down dinner, Ben then attempted to rap his speech, to the joy of the guests. The beaming bride was joined by her bandmates Mollie King, Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White, who all wore matching lilac dresses. Zara Phillips looked for some support from husband Mike Tindall to relieve the tension ahead of her debut at the London Olympic Games. Zara got close to the England and Gloucester star as she took part in her last equestrian competition before representing Great Britain at the 2012 Games, the Daily Mail reported.
She joined teammates for a final preparation at the Barbury International Horse Trials in Marlborough. The organisers specially arranged the dressage event after the Badminton Horse Trials were cancelled earlier in the year because of flooding on the course.
Zara was riding her Olympic horse High Kingdom and said she was “pleased” with the way he behaved. “He felt good, and he was very accurate,” the Daily Mail quoted the Queen’s granddaughter as saying.
“The horse has really improved a lot in the last year,” she added. She described the prospect of making her Olympics as “different class” after finishing fifth following her successful final run in the competition. — ANI
