“I am greedy for roles,” says Brazilian belle Bruna Abdullah, who was on a short visit to a city pub for a Friendship Day event.

The model-turned-actress who made us groove to numbers like Subah Hone Na de and I Hate Love Storys, said she “grabs anything that seems like fun”.

“So, I don’t mind if people tag me as an item girl. I do modelling, acting, dancing... I am happy where I am.”

Well, she’s also going places. Bruna is all set to star with an ensemble cast for an upcoming Bollywood comedy flick. But models who step into B’town are often typecast as an item girl and just a ‘pretty face’. They rarely go beyond a five-minute song. Bruna agrees and insists it’s a case of bad PR.

“I don’t know how other models handle themselves. It’s all about networking and meeting the right set of people.”

Bruna was also stunned at partying during the day.

“It’s amazing! You party during the day and sleep on Sunday. Day partying is very new to me. It never happens in Mumbai though. I don’t party much. When I am at home I mostly listen to music and play with my pets — a golden retriever, Zooey and a cat called Fi-fi.”

Talking about her latest flick, Billa 2, which also had Ajith and Vidyut Jamwal, Bruna said, “Ajith is a sweetheart and Vidyut is a joker! (Vidyut recently remarked that Bruna is very hot and glamorous). I know him since my modelling days.”
