The Indian Army Major on deputation to National Security Guards, who allegedly received a call from a suspected ISI agent, reportedly talked about the movement of the Black Cats to the site of the twin blasts thinking it was a senior officer at the other end as was conveyed to him.

The NSG, however, maintains that except for some trivial information, nothing much was shared.

An NSG team had conducted post-blast analysis of the twin bombings in Hyderabad and after studying the explosives, triggering etc., had concluded that the blast were the handiwork of the Indian Mujahideen with aid from Pakistan’s terrorist outfits and intelligence agencies.

Officials also disclosed that the military as well as paramilitary personnel were being regularly cautioned to desist from social networking sites or sharing information to unverified people over phone as per instructions from the ministry of defence and even the ministry of home affairs.

Meanwhile, minister of state for home R.P.N. Singh said that the home ministry took all reports of information leaks with the utmost seriousness. “We have taken action in similar cases in the past with an iron fist. If there is anything in this case, we will take action,” he told reporters in New Delhi. The NSG has also ordered a probe.

Meanwhile, the telephone call from Pakistan has led security agencies to make a fresh push for blocking of Internet telephony.
