CONGRESS, DESAM NEXUS EXPOSED, SAYS VIJAYAMMA

- DC CORRESPONDENT HYDERABAD, MARCH 15

YSR Congress Floor Leader Y.S. Vijayalakshmi on Friday said the “unholy nexus” between the Congress and the Telugu Desam became more pronounced with the latter keeping away from supporting the NoConfidence Motion to bring down the “anti-people government”.

Initiating the debate on on behalf of YSRC, she said the state government has failed on all fronts and did not live up to the expectations of the people who voted it to power.

“While some calamities are natural there are others that are man-made. The acute power crisis is the making of the state government as its lack of foresight and concern has pushed the state into darkness. The situation could have been avoided with little planning, foresight and commitment, but the state’s interests and priorities were elsewhere and the steep hike in power charges is affecting agriculture, industrial and domestic sectors,” she said.

“It is unfortunate I have to support No-Confidence Motion on the Congress government, which had been a model state under the leadership of YSR. In the past three years, Arogyasri, fee reimbursement, free power and all welfare schemes took a beating,” she said.
