KCR made parties fight one another

-

Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu is in the bad books of both his rivals, TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, and the YSR Congress, after he backed out from the no-confidence motion. What gives them enough ammunition is that from Day 1 of his padayatra in October last year, Mr Naidu has been mercilessly attacking the Chief Minister for “failure on all fronts” and asserting that he has to go. But when an attempt is made by the TRS and the YSRC to pull down the government, he backs out. “Why should I go with thoka (tail) parties?” he said. The TD and the YSRC have been nudging each other to move the noconfidence motion first. While the Telugu Desam is the major opposition party and has 70 plus MLAs, the TRS has 19 MLAs and YSRC 17. It is obvious that the TD had to take the lead to create the desired impact, but Mr Naidu shied away. MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi believes this is because Mr Naidu doesn’t think the time is ripe to move a no-confidence motion and is confident that the government will fall under its own pressure in the next 12 months. But, then, why abuse the CM every day and make no attempt to pull down the government when opportunity offers itself, is the question both the TRS and the YSRC would like an answer to. Issuing a whip to TD MLAs to stay neutral only added fuel to the fire. Needless to say, having made everyone fight among themselves, Chandrasekhar has the last laugh.
