Upasana gifts hubby a Jack Russel terrier for his birthday
A gift can cheer up anyone, anytime. If the gift is a cute Jack Russell terrier, then it’s a double whammy. That’s exactly what Ram Charan Tej got from his wife, Upasana.
“I received the special gift a few days ahead of my birthday. I am very happy with it. I lost a dog eight months ago and she knows that I adore dogs. It is an ideal gift,” said the actor who turns a year older on March 27. Ram had gifted Upasana a pony for her birthday.
Ram Charan wants to spend his birthday with his fans just like his dad used to.
Talking of fans, the actor is disturbed at a fan’s death during a Baadshah function. “I was shocked. I don’t think barricading is enough. We need to beef up the security and clearly earmark spaces for guests and fans. Personally, I ensure the safety of fans at my functions and only send a specific number of invites to avoid overcrowding. Fans are like our extended family and we should give them due respect,” he said.
Ram Charan also spoke about his new Bollywood film with Karan Johar. “Talks are on with a few producers and directors but I am not getting the right kind of scripts from Bollywood. Maybe, after Zanjeer, filmmakers would offer me better scripts. But nothing looks possible this year,” he said.
He describes Priyanka Chopra as a dedicated actress and is excited about sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan. “I am eagerly waiting for it,” she said.
After the success of Rachcha and Nayak, is he under pressure ahead of the release of Yevadu? “I feel it more as a responsibility than pressure. Yevadu would be a path-breaking commercial thriller which breaks a lot of cliches associated with a star film. My only worry is that both Zanjeer and Yevadu would be releasing within 4-5 weeks of each other,” he said.
