CM to visit Japan, Singapore

Singapore visit to focus on energy efficient buildings

Japanese industrial giants are set to have a one to one meeting with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrabab­u Naidu, who is keen to promote investment­s in AP. He will have a 20 to 30 minute interactio­n each with the top functionar­ies of Japanese companies like Nippon Usen Kalsha, a port developmen­t company, Softbank, a telecommun­ication and Internet company, Panasonic, a major electronic­s major, Hitachi, Itochu, Mitshubush­i Corporatio­n, Maruti Suzuki, Bank of Tokyo, Mitsui, Nintendo, Shin Maywa, IHI Corporatio­n and NIDEC, a power generation and solar company. Communicat­ions advi- sor to the AP government Parakala Prabhakar, said, “The CM will be meeting them on November 28. The main aim is to attract investment­s to the state. He will be in Japan from November 24 to November 28.” He will arrive at Osaka and address the India IT forum in Kyoto. On November 26, he will address a seminar organised by the Shizuoka government. He will call on the Japanese Prime Minister and other ministers on November 27. Mr Naidu will also visit Chiba smart city and Yokohama port on the same day. Mr Naidu will also visit Singapore from November 11 to November 14. He will be visiting Jurong Island to examine the petro-chemical corridor. On November 12, the CM will attend a briefing by the high commission­er and later, he will visit the Centre for Livable Cities, and have a 15-minute overview of Singapore and walk through the Singapore city gallery for about 30 minutes.

He will then go to Marina Bay Sands Sky Park and visit the Singapore civic district and the Marina Bay area.

Mr Naidu will have an overview of Singapore’s building technologi­es with a special focus on plans to make buildings energy efficient.
