Magic of musical weekends!

The fifth season of Bacardi NH7 Weekender kickstarts with over 100 artistes and six stages across four Indian cities

It has earned the moniker of India’s happiest music festival and that’s not without a reason, thanks to its attention to detailing in every aspect. Right from the artiste line-up to the design of multiple stages, from eyegrabbing art installations at the festive arena to the selection of menus at the refreshment-kiosks, Bacardi NH7

Weekender knows how to make the fanatic rockheads eat out of its hand. The fifth edition of the music-fest is back with a bang this year with a lot of new faces and add-ons to its much-touted bill.

Having just kicked off in Kolkata, the fiesta will travel to Bengaluru (November 8-9), Pune (November 21-23) and conclude its magnetic magic in Delhi (November 29-30). As a bonus, this season will witness some of the country’s most talented young visual artists’ works, who have been tasked with designing the visual aesthetics of every single stage at the festival. For some enthusiasts, Bacardi NH7

Weekender may be fittingly tagged as India’s answer to Tomorrowland — the mega EDM event, which will be hosted on a massive scale in Brazil, come 2015.

Hit composer Amit Trivedi, who makes his music-festival debut with the 2014 chapter of Bacardi NH7

Weekender, will now perform at all four editions of the ongoing festival. Comedy group All India Bakchod has been on board for the Delhi edition, while percussionist Selvaganesh will perform at the Pune gig. Outfits like OX7GEN, Fuzzy Logic, Nanok and Norcotiq will make some cutting-edge electronic sounds. As India grows beyond the EDM phase, the festival too encourages a lot of new genres like punk, jazz and blues to inscribe their niche on the music map.
