Diggy has not lost his romantic sense: TRS

- DC CORRESPONDENT

The TRS took a dig at AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh’s comments asking party men to take on the TRS as the honeymoon with the TRS government is over.

“We don’t know about honeymoon like Digvijay Singh garu. Everyone knows who fell in love in old age. He is a senior politician and he should wage a war against the BJP-led NDA government instead of the TRS government which is working for the people,” TRS MLA Guvvala Balraj said.

The TRS legislators lashed out at the Congress and the BJP for making uncharitable remarks against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the Telangana government instead of supporting the welfare and developmental schemes initiated by it.

Mr Digvijay Singh had pulled up the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) leadership for soft pedalling against the TRS government in spite of its failure to fulfil electoral promises.

“The Telangana government is working for the poor. We have launched several welfare schemes including the `1,000 old age pension scheme, the 3acre land scheme for dalits among others. Instead of supporting such initiatives, Mr Singh asked Congress men to wage war against the TRS government. He should wage war against the Centre,” the legislator said.
