PRANJALA ADVANCES AT Jr AUSTRALIAN OPEN

Hyderabad’s rising tennis star Yadlapalli Pranjala booked a second round berth at the Australian Open Junior Championships, being played at the Olympic Boulevard in Melbourne.

Pranjala defeated South African qualifer Katie Poluta 6-4, 6-3. She next faces China’s top seed Xu Shilin, who defeated Australia’s qualifier Kaylah McPhee 6-4, 6-1.
