Carrie discovers pregnancy perks

Carrie Underwood is discovering all the wonders of her first pregnancy, like finding constructive uses for her prominent bump.

“Pregnancy perk: using my belly as a tabletop for my snacks! Nom nom nom,” the expecting 31-year-old tweeted to her 4.2M followers.

The American Idol champ and her husband, NHL star Mike Fisher, will welcome their son in the spring.

“I've been picking out patterns, rugs, furniture, stuff like that,” Carrie told Today.

“I don’t think there’s any way for us to actually fathom how our lives are about to change.”

The couple of four years didn’t want to discover their baby’s gender until they were out of the sonogram room and at a nice restaurant.

Underwood will compete for two Grammy Awards when the ceremony airs February 8 on CBS.

Carrie’s song Something in the Water is up for best country solo performance, and her duet with Miranda Lambert Somethin’ Bad is up for best country duo performance.

The Blown Away hitmaker also just dropped her Greatest Hits: Decade #1 album last month.
