‘His hands should be tied up’

Sonia Balani and Priyansh Jora play the super-adorable Panchhi and Titu on Tu Mera Hero. Viewers have slowly warmed up to this rather unconventional lead pair, and it’s hardly a surprise considering the fun vibes the two actors share. In a conversation with us, they show off their equation and more. What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of your co-star? Priyansh: Food — and pranks! Sonia: Pranks! Tell us an off screen memory that the two of you share. Priyansh: There are a lot of moments, but the one that comes to my mind is what I call “the Sita joke”. I found out that Sonia thought, during Lord Ram’s exile Sita would cook vegetables and chapatis for his meals, as he could not consume meat while roaming the forests. Her comment made me laugh like a maniac. Sonia: Once, while travelling, we fought over a bar of Dairy Milk chocolate. In the end, neither of us could eat it as it melted in our hands and we had to get off at a petrol pump to wash it off. Tell us something about your co-star that not many know. Priyansh: She is a dancer first, then an actor, and she has music 24/7 on her mind! Sonia: He is always fidgeting with his hands. He is either hitting or punching someone. Ideally his hands should be tied up all the time. Okay, now tell us something about yourself that fans don’t know. Priyansh: Well, not many people know that I love horse-riding. Sonia: I love dancing. What is your idea of a perfect date? Priyansh: Conversations. It could be meaningful or just nonsense. Laughter is mandatory. Sonia: A candle light dinner along the beach and long conversations as we stargaze… Have you had a really memorable incident while on a date? Priyansh: Yes! My first date, it will always remain special. Sonia: Not really Are you closer to your friends or family? Priyansh: Both. I think I spend my best moments when I’m with all of them Sonia: I am closest to my family. They are my lifeline. I am very close to my father and my brothers, while I dote on my nephews. Tell us about a star-struck moment you had. Priyansh: I was star-struck for three days after I did my first ad shoot with Ranbir Kapoor. Sonia: None really.
