ONE TWO KA 4G!
HONOR 4X — A RARE SMARTPHONE WITH TWO 4G SIM SLOTS
Huawei’s Honor range of smartphones — or phablets as some prefer to call them — have been giving stiff competition to mid-range phone manufacturers. With the Honor 4X, we now have the first-ever smartphone with two 4G SIM slots, along with good camera features.
Available at `10,499, online, the 4X lets you enjoy high-speed mobile data while switching between service providers or dedicating one for just calls and messages. The in-built SIM management tool lets you choose which one to use for data, calls or messaging.
The smartphone comes with a 13 MP rear shooter and 5 MP front camera, with a 22mm wide-angle lens which allows you to fit an entire family in one frame.
The cameras are anti-reflective and come with anti-fingerprint smudge features — small enhancements which make the phone pollution-friendly. They also feature a “beautify” feature that smoothens the image by reducing visual “noise”.
Other interesting features include the Audio Photo option that allows you to add 10 seconds of audio to your image — basically an audio tag to go with your photo.
The Honor 4X runs on a 1.2 GHz Quad Processor with 8 GB built-in storage that is expandable.
For the price it commands, we believe it’s a good buy, but the non-metallic, white plastic frame is a bit of a disappointment.
