Insurance ‘agent’ dupes 60

-

A fake insurance agent named Karthik Kishore duped around 60 people using the name of Bajaj Allianz. The fake agent cheated his victims and fled after collecting the money. The branch manager of Bajaj Allianz, Panjagutta, lodged a complaint with the police regarding this. The cops booked a case and arrested him.

The accused, Karthik Kishore, from Yellareddyguda created an account on JustDial.com claiming that he was an authorised insurance agent and duped people using that. Kishore’s wife was a licensed insurance agent and he used her credentials to dupe the victims, police said.

“He collected lakhs from applicants in the name of premium after selling them vehicle insurance policies. His victims came to know that he was a cheat only after many days,” said an official from Panjagutta police station.

Earlier, three of his victims had approached Bajaj Allianz seeking information about the agent and they realised that a scammer was on the prowl. “Then, we lodged a complaint seeking an investigation,” said an official from Bajaj Allianz.

Police found that Kishore had been cheating people since three years using the name of Bajaj Allianz.
