Exide posts 4.12% rise in profit in Q4

New Delhi: Battery manufacturer Exide Industries on Thursday reported a 4.12 per cent increase in net profit at 137.59 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015, as demand remained subdued. The company had posted a net profit of 132.14 crore in the same period last fiscal, Exide Industries said. The company’s total income from operations also rose 2.26 per cent to 1,651.82 crore during January-March period as against 1,615.28 crore of the same period previous fiscal. The company plans to focus on cost control to improve profit,” it said.
