State approves 2,019 jobs for new districts

After the creation of 21 new districts, the Telangana government has approved 2,019 new jobs in the revenue department besides 85 in school education and 12 in the roads and buildings department.

The vacancies will be filled through recruitmen­t exams conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission.

The finance department issued orders to this effect on Wednesday. In the revenue department, 693 posts have been created in the district collectora­tes alone, while there are 188 new posts in revenue divisions and 1,228 in revenue mandals.

In district collectora­tes, the major posts include 98 tahsildars, 180 senior assistants and 139 office subordinat­es.

In the revenue divisions, posts of 24 deputy collectors (RDOs), 24 divisional administra­tive officers (tahsildar cadre), six deputy tahsildars, 24 each of record assistants, deputy inspectors of survey and deputy statistica­l officers have been created.

In revenue mandals, 104 each of tahsildars and deputy tahsildars posts, 232 mandal revenue inspector or senior assistant posts, 308 office subordinat­e posts, etc are created.

In the school education department, 85 mandal education officers’ posts have been approved.

In the R&B department, four each of executive engineer, superinten­dent and junior assistants’ posts have been created.

The TS Cabinet, which met earlier this month, approved sanctionin­g of new posts at various levels to meet the administra­tive needs of 21 new districts.

A few more new jobs in other department­s will be announced soon.
