Priya Naidu is over the moon!
Model and fashion designer to have a dream debut with Baahubali 2, and she has plenty of other films in her kitty too
Priya Naidu is the one lucky girl. She is all set to make her debut in Baahubali 2, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, where she is playing a supporting role. “My cousin Siddharth showed my portfolio to them and they called me for an audition. They asked me to join the shoot from the very next day,” says Priya. “I was in shock that I got selected for Rajamouli’s film for my debut. I have no words to express my joy,” she adds. Recalling her experiences on the set, Priya says, “Though there were very big personalities like Rajamouli, Anushka, Tamannaah and others, they treated everyone equally. They gave the script to me in advance, so I was well prepared and it’s been a smooth going for me. Rajamouli sir is a perfectionist and knows how to get good performances from the actors.” While doing Baahubali, Priya also got the chance to work with another ace director, Krishna Vamsi. “I am doing a small role in Nakshatram. For this film too, they auditioned me first,” she says. Priya adds that Krishna Vamsi gives importance to even the junior artistes and that it has been a great learning experience working with him. Both these films are currently under production. In the meantime, the actress has bagged more roles. She is playing a crucial role in Hunter, starring Avasarala Srinivasa Rao, directed by Naveen Medaram. The actress has also been roped in to play a key role in Adivi Sesh’s Goodachari. Born in Hyderabad and brought up in Bengaluru, Priya completed her course in fashion designing from NIFT, Hyderabad.
