RACKET IN FAKE AAD­HAAR

The Tele­com En­force­ment and Re­source Mon­i­tor­ing wing of the De­part­ment of Telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions has de­tected a fake Aad­haar card racket for book­ing mo­bile con­nec­tions.

The TERM cell iden­ti­fied cheat­ing by seven peo­ple dur­ing au­dit and this led to pe­nal­i­sa­tion of ser­vice provider BSNL. BSNL filed a com­plaint with Saifabad po­lice seek­ing ac­tion against the ac­cused.

Po­lice regis­tered a case of cheat­ing and forgery against the seven per­sons who are al­legedly in­volved in the fraud.

BSNL em­ployee B. Syama filed a com­plaint al­leg­ing that the ac­cused pro­vided a forged Aad­haar card as proof for book­ing mo­bile con­nec­tions. The ac­cused were iden­ti­fied as R. Bhokraj Monika, K. Shiva Ku­mar, Md Sul­tan Al­ta­mash, Md Ab­dul Mujeeb, Mo­hammed Javee, J. Nagab­hushanam and Ba­reena.

The Unique Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Au­thor­ity of In­dia also con­firmed that the Aad­haar cards pro­duced by them was forged. The case is be­ing in­ves­ti­gated by SI S. Ravi Ku­mar of Saifabad po­lice sta­tion.
