The Kamareddy district police arrested Telangana United Front leader Pamena Bheem Bharat on Saturday. He had gone missing from home in Rajendranagar on Thursday. He was caught in Kamareddy and explosives were seized from him.

In March 2015, Machareddy police had arrested six suspects, including the district committee secretary and members of CPI(ML) Janashakti group, and recovered four country-made weapons, ammunition and 50 detonators from them. They admitted that they had got the weapons from the CPI(ML) Janashakti central committee led by Kura Rajanna, Kura Kumar and others. After receiving credible information on Friday, police nabbed Bheem Bharat at the Kamareddy bus station and recovered 20 detonators from him.

Police found that the illegal activities of CPI(ML) Janashakti were being carried out in the name of Telangana United Front at a house in Domalguda. Police raided the house in Domalguda and recovered Maoist literature.

“Bheem also revealed that the house in Domalguda is used for procuring and storing weapons, ammunition and explosives,” police officials said. The cops said that despite the arrest of some leaders a year ago, the same house was being used for illegal activities.

Bheem Bharat’s wife Jyothi on Thursday filed a complaint with Rajendranagar police stating that he went out saying that he will return in an hour, but did not do so even late in the night. Police registered a missing case and was inquiring. Bheem Bharat was remanded to custody.
