Israel delays vote on new settlement

Jerusalem: Israel delayed a vote today on permits for settler homes at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s request, ahead of a speech by US Secretary of State John Kerry, an official said. The discussion was pulled from the agenda in a move following the UN Security Council’s resolution passes on Friday demanding a stop to Israeli settlement building. A spokesman for Netanyahu had no immediate comment.
