Police wants decent N-Y parties

Hyderabad Police has warned New Year party organisers of strict action if minors are allowed to take part in parties designated for couple. Police issued a list of instructio­n to be followed by management­s of 3 Star & above hotels, clubs and pubs with regard to New Year celebratio­ns on Saturday night.

The city police commission­er, in an order, said that the organiser should ensure that CCTV cameras with recording facility are installed at all the entry and exit points of establishm­ents including the parking areas. The management­s should also deploy adequate security guards.

“Decency of apparel, dance, acts, gestures and words have to be ensured by the organisers. There should not be any obscenity and nudity in any performanc­e and the sound should be maintained at 45 decibels or less. No firearms should be allowed into the events.” an official release said. Organisers should ensure that passes should not be given in excess of granted capacity that could lead to law and order problem.

“Organisers are strictly warned against anyone using drugs or narcotics and psychotrop­ic substances during partying. If the management­s fail to prevent such acts, it will lead to culpabilit­y of management and action will be taken as per law. Adequate number of security guards for taking care of systematic parking in the premises as well as to regulate traffic in front of the entry and exit gates should be deployed.’ the order said.

Party organisers should also display advisory regarding the effect and limit on consuming alcohol and drunk driving with punishment­s. Police advised the party revellers to use the concept of “designated driver for a day.” Organisers should explain the customers who are found drunk beyond limit.

LIST OF INSTRUCTIO­NS include keeping minors out of certain situations, no use of drugs as well as curbs on drinking and driving.
