Vivek Vardhini College were runners-up while Bhavan’s College took the third spot by beating Aurora Degree College
Nikilesh, Ravi and Khadeer dished out brilliant performances to help Post Graduate College take the top honours in the Osmania University intercollege softball tournament played at the Osmania University’s ‘H’ grounds.
In the finals, Post Graduate College defeated Vivek Vardhini College with a score of 7-4 to clinch the title.
Meanwhile, Bhavan’s (Sainikpuri) swept aside Aurora Degree College with a clear domination to finish third. The score read 12-0. Vamshi, Anil and Kashyap were the star players for the winners.
Earlier in the semifinals, Vivek Vardhini College outclassed Bhavan’s (Sainikpuri) 7-2 while Post Graduate College (Secunderabad) dominated Aurora Degree 10-5.
In the quarterfinals, Bhavan’s (Sainikpuri) defeated Railway Degree College 16-10 while Vivek Vardhini College comfortably beat Bhavan’s New Science (Narayanaguda) with a onesided score of 10-0.
In the other two quarterfinals Aurora Degree swept aside S.P. College with a thumping 10-0 score while Post Graduate College got a walkover from Vasundara College. THE RESULTS
