Vivek Vardhini College were runners-up while Bhavan’s College took the third spot by beating Aurora Degree College

Nikilesh, Ravi and Khadeer dished out brilliant performanc­es to help Post Graduate College take the top honours in the Osmania University intercolle­ge softball tournament played at the Osmania University’s ‘H’ grounds.

In the finals, Post Graduate College defeated Vivek Vardhini College with a score of 7-4 to clinch the title.

Meanwhile, Bhavan’s (Sainikpuri) swept aside Aurora Degree College with a clear domination to finish third. The score read 12-0. Vamshi, Anil and Kashyap were the star players for the winners.

Earlier in the semifinals, Vivek Vardhini College outclassed Bhavan’s (Sainikpuri) 7-2 while Post Graduate College (Secunderab­ad) dominated Aurora Degree 10-5.

In the quarterfin­als, Bhavan’s (Sainikpuri) defeated Railway Degree College 16-10 while Vivek Vardhini College comfortabl­y beat Bhavan’s New Science (Narayanagu­da) with a onesided score of 10-0.

In the other two quarterfin­als Aurora Degree swept aside S.P. College with a thumping 10-0 score while Post Graduate College got a walkover from Vasundara College. THE RESULTS
