Foosball frolic with Suarez

-

Luis Suarez looked to put a subdued start to 2017 behind him by enjoying a game of table football with his son Benjamin as the Barcelona striker enjoyed time away from the training ground.

Suarez is yet to score in two games this calendar year as Luis Enrique's side once more made a sluggish return from the Spanish winter break.

Barcelona were beaten in the first leg of their Copa del Rey clash with Athletic Bilbao, before requiring a brilliant late free-kick from Lionel Messi to rescue a point at Villarreal on Sunday.

But despite all that, the 29-year-old did not appear too concerned as he enjoyed some 'foosball' with his kid ahead of his side's second leg with Bilbao at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona will be looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit on Wednesday night, and Suarez got in the mood by taking on his three-year-old in the popular indoor football game.

The Uruguay striker — who also has a 6-year-old daughter called Delfina — opted to be the red team in the duel and looked ready to unleash a fierce flick of the wrist with his five-man midfield, but young Benjamin was well-prepared with a defender and goalkeeper covering his goal.

Suarez, who has 15 goals in 23 games this season, took to Instagram to share the affectionate moment with his 19 million followers, with the caption in Spanish translating: “Nothing more beautiful in life than to enjoy these lovely moments, Precious.”
