- DC CORRESPONDENT

The Telangana roads & buildings (R&B) department has added modifications to the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR) meant for providing connectivity to urban nodes and urban centres of Hyderabad.

The modification of alignment suggested by the R&B department is from Tupran to Choutuppal to Yacharam to Kadial to Shadnagar as

RRR WILL pass via 125 villages.

Total length of RRR is 283 km

It will provide connectivity to urban nodes and urban centres.

against Tupran, Malkapur, Agahpally and Kottur.

The TS government has decided to construct RRR under the Metropolitan Development Plan (MDP) and the total length of RRR is about 283.53 km. The distance from Outer Ring Road (ORR) to RRR varies from 10 km to 30 km.

A pre-feasibility study has been carried out for the proposed RRR to assess the preliminary feasibility of the RRR and also to assess broad socio-economic and financial analysis of the project. In the proposed RRR, paved and unpaved roads constitute about 58 per cent and the new alignment / bypass is about 42 per cent. The RRR passes through 125 villages, all along the alignment, such as Tupran, Shivampet, Narsapur, Koulampet, Chevella, Shabad, and Shadnagar.

There are about 25 spinal roads connecting ORR to RRR. These include 10 National and state highway roads and the remainder are new spinal roads. These will provide connectivity from ORR to RRR.
