■ Guided walks by St+art foundation will be held. Artworks done by 11 acclaimed artists from India and around the world, in addition to 13 local Telangana artists, will be on display for the walk. Every Sunday till January 29, 11 am to 1 pm, Meeting point: Necklace Road Railway Station.

■ Telangana Internatio­nal Kite Festival will be organised. January 14 and January 15, 9 am, The Aga Khan Academy, Srisailam Highway.

■ Hyderabad Literary Festival will be organised. The guest nation will be the Philippine­s and the language in focus this year will be Tamil. January 27 to January 29, Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet.

■ Six short plays will be staged by Dramanon. January 14, 8 pm to 9.30 pm, Phoenix Arena, Hitec City

■ 1984 — A play adapted from George Orwell’s novel titled 1984 will be staged by The Lord Chamberlai­n’s Men group. January 14 and January 15, 7.30 pm, Lamakaan, Banjara Hills.

■ A scrambling and rock climbing session at Peerancher­u will be held. January 14, 5.45 am, meeting at Morine bakery, Nanal Nagar X Roads.

■ A fun kayaking weekend session is being held. Ongoing, till January 29, 7.30 am to 9.30 am, The Yacht Club, Sanjeeviah Park.

■ Two Lakes Ride, a bicycle ride from Gachibowli to Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar will be organised. January 15, 6 am, meeting at Gachibowli bike station.

■ A solo Bharatanat­yam dance performanc­e by artiste Subhashini Giridhar is being staged. January 14, 6.30 pm onwards, Ravindra Bharathi, Saifabad.

■ Benny Dayal, the Indi-pop and playback singer will be performing at IIT-Hyderabad during its technical cum cultural inter-college festival, Elan and Envision. Open to students. January 21, 8 pm to 9.30 pm, IIT Hyderabad, Sangareddy.

■ Gagultha Abhishekha Jwala — Every day, holy mass in Malayalam will be delivered for different rituals. January 13 to January 15, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, St Mary’s High School Grounds, Secunderab­ad.

■ A 10k and 5k run to raise awareness about the education for girl children is being organised by the NGO Seva Bharathi. Families can participat­e at the run. January 22, 7 am to 9.30 am, Gachibowli Stadium.

■ A kite festival will be organised to celebrate the spirit of Sankranti by Cyberabad Gujarati Associatio­n. January 14, 10 am to 5 pm, P.J.R. Stadium — GHMC Sports Complex, Chandanaga­r.

■ The Internatio­nal Women’s Polo Tournament featuring team Nasr and the American team USPA is being organised. January 14, 5.30 pm, Nasr Polo, Mirzaguda, Janwada Village, RR District.

■ Udaan 2.0 — A Kite festival is being organised. January 15, 12 pm to 8 pm, Meridian School grounds, Madhapur.

■ The Last Laugh — A comedy review of 2016’s memorable events will be performed by the collective Funny Side Up. January 22, 7 pm, G.P. Birla Centre, Adarsh Nagar.

■ Gudi Sambaraalu, 2017 — The Telangana temple festival will be held to congregate ancient dance and art forms at old temples in and around the city. January 14 to March 28, at multiple venues.

■ The Great Hyderabad Cyclothon 2 is being organised by the Hyderabad Bicycling Club. January 22, 6 am to 12 pm, Hitec City Bike Station, Gachibowli.

■ Sankranti festival celebratio­ns — Gangireddu­la Aatalu, Haridasulu, Budabukkal­u, Jangamadev­arulu, Bhatrajulu, Pagativesh­alu, folk dances, Bhogi and Sankranti Paatalu, leather puppet show, Kuchipudi and Bharatnaty­am dances will be performed. January 13 to January 15, 11 am, Shilparama­m, Madhapur.

■ Guzishta Hyderabad —A story telling session about the Nizams by Arvind Acharya will be held. January 15, 9.30 am to 12 pm, The Qutub Shahi Tombs, near Golconda Fort.
