Flipkart to use Microsoft Azure
Flipkart. The Flipkart cofounder Binny Bansal said that Flipkart’s strategic partnership with Microsoft will help his company to scale up in the coming days.
“Microsoft Azure and Artificial Intelligence as a platform can help us scale up our e-commerce business,” said Mr Bansal. “This partnership allows us to leverage our combined strength and knowledge of technology, ecommerce and markets to make online shopping more relevant and enriching for customers.”
Mr Nadella, who is in India to attend Microsoft’s technology and business conference, shared the stage with Nandan Nilekani and spoke about the importance of technology in the public sector.
He also spoke about IndiaStack, a set of APIs that provide unique digital infrastructure aimed at eliminating problems related to presence-less, paper-less and cash less service delivery.
Feb. 20: Reliance Jio on Monday announced a strategic partnership with cab aggregator Uber, which will start with allowing users to pay for their rides through a prepaid wallet launched by the telco’s parent company, Reliance Industries.
The users of JioMoney will soon be able to request and pay for Uber rides from within the JioMoney app, it said in a statement.
Uber’s CBO for India Madhu Kannan said the partnership will “unlock synergies across two of the largest user bases in India.” “Through this strategic partnership we are looking to fast forward to digital solutions at scale for the Indian users,” he was quoted as saying in the statement.
