Man nabbed for defrauding firm

North Zone police arrested a 48-year-old marketing manager of a private firm on Thursday for forging bills and cheating the public and the company of `45 lakh.

Police said P.K. Suresh Kumar, 48, who was working as marketing manager in a private firm on Subhash Road in Secunderab­ad, misappropr­iated plastic raw material worth `22 lakh belonging to the company he was working for and spent the money on luxuries.

North Zone deputy commission­er of police B. Sumathi said, “He send false bills to customers and cheated them as well as the company he was working for as marketing manager. He then misappropr­iated another `20 lakh by raising false bills and invoices against customers. Overall he misappropr­iated about `45 lakh belonging to the company,” the DCP added.

After receiving informatio­n that the suspect was staying at his native place in the Thrissur district of Kerala Hyderabad police went there along with staff and arrested him on Thursday and brought him to Hyderabad on transit warrant.

He was sent to judicial custody by the court on Friday.
