RAJAMOULI GOES TO THANK COPS

Baahubali director S.S Rajamouli on Saturday met city cyber crime police personnel to express his gratitude after they busted a gang that tried to extort money from the producers of the movie by threatening to release a HD quality print online. Mr Rajamouli said film-makers and police should join hands to fight piracy.

The director first met cybercrime ACP Raghuveer, who led the police team that busted the gang. “We explained how he cracked the case. He was curious to know the details,” said Mr Raghuveer.

The director met cybercrime DCP Avinash Mohanty, who discussed with him the details of the anti-piracy operation being carried out by the police.

“Mr Rajamouli discussed a few ideas on curbing piracy. He also talked about the importance of collaboration between the police and filmmakers to fight the menace,” said a source from the CCS.
