- DC CORRESPONDENT HYDERABAD, AUG. 2

Ex-corporator from Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT), who got an echallan for over speeding of his vehicle at KBR Park with 75kmph against the actual permitted speed 50kmph, has began campaign against traffic violations by police personnel in social media and his posts and tweets are getting tremendous response from netizens across the globe.

He asked the DGP and Hyderabad police commissioner through social media how the traffic wing issues echallan for over speeding without installing sign boards on speed limits at Jubilee Hills.

Following this incident, he began an online campaign on violations of traffic by police personnel, including constables, head constables and sub-inspectors.

Soon after posting the pictures in social media, it got many likes and comments from across the globe.

Mostly, Hyderabadis reacted and they too began identifying traffic violations by the police.

Mr Khan asked the police commissioner to cancel driving licences of cops who violated rules.

“While the traffic wing is imposing thousands of rupees of challans on the common man, why the department is not taking any action against traffic cops for the same violations?” he questioned.

Sources from the MBT said that the campaign would continue till higher officials respond to the posts on violations by the police.
